The work is extremely allegorical, and depicts Eve after the persecution from the Garden of Eden. In my interpretation of the story, Eva is asleep. In a dream, she is haunted by her decisions, unaware of the consequences. Mora (pagan Slavic goddess) chases and overwhelms her, her body twists and convulses. Between her thighs is wrapped a drapery that is associated with a snake, which also symbolizes evil.
